This stump is VERY durable (made out of hard plastic), has great ventilation (which many sleeping dens lack), and is a dream to clean. And it's just so darn cute! The medium size is perfect for 2 to 3 rats, and if you have more than 3 rats to squeeze in there, they make a large size version of this stump as well. You can also use it in conjunction with one of those "corner litter pans" to hang it up in the top corner of your cage. (Rats often love sleeping in the highest spot possible.) This shows how you can use the stump with a corner litter pan to place the stump higher off the ground.
