None of the pegs lined up properly, and trying to force it together only caused it to completely fall apart. We used some safe glue to put it back together and then it worked fine. However it was impossible to clean. All you can wash is the lid. If you wash the house part it will fall apart. Plus it is very expensive for what it is.
