Hanging Baskets Homemade RattyRat's Review: You can turn just about any small basket into a great hammock of sorts. Our rats favorite is the red mini crate pictured above. We hang it with shower hooks (reviewed in the "Miscellaneous" section) and line it with a piece of fleece and our rats just LOVE it. Any smaller basket can work. You want to have it to be not too much bigger than the rats that are going to sleep in it. Rats prefer small tight spaces. The larger basket we have pictured above wasn't as well liked by our rats because it was a little too big. You can find baskets at thrift stores, organization stores; the white one pictured above was from the kitchen organizing section of Target.
