Washable Rugs Home Improvement store like Menards - $19.99 RattyRat's Review: We have a custom martins cage that happens to have a 3' x 2' tray and we have our other cage which is a one level 6' x 2' x' 2 cage. It just so happens that these 2' x 3' washable rugs from Menards work perfectly in the bottom of our cages to cover the floor. We use the rugs, and then put litter boxes in the cage. The rugs are fantastic! They are a nice smooth surface that is easy to clean poops off of with a little dust pan and brush, or just vacuum, and best of all when the rats pee on the rugs, it soaks immediately to the bottom of the rug and the top stays dry, so they are always walking on nice dry rugs no matter how many accidents they have. The rats love walking on the rugs too! I thought they might catch their little nails in the rug, but no, not at all. They chewed on the rugs somewhat when I first started using them, but now the rats just leave them alone. It is so great! I have two sets and just switch them out regularly to wash, surface cleaning them daily with dust pan or vacuum. If Martins made these exact rugs fit to their cages, they could make a fortune! They are awesome!
