Although it's dustier then the paper based litter. It is important to try and get the most dust free brand you can find. Dust is very bad for your rats' respiratory systems, and some aspen brands contain a lot of saw dust. This litter is a bad choice if you have hairless rats as they get a lot of wood debris in their eyes.
