Martin's has a huge selection of rat cages in all different sizes. The R-695 is the most popular due to it's large size and affordable price. Martin's gives you the option of choosing a galvanized cage or powder coated cage. Make sure you choose powder coated because the galvanized is toxic for your rats to chew on and will rust. Martin's cages come unassembled and are easy to put together. We recommend using plastic zip ties (cable cord ties) to attach the sides of the cage together. They give you metal rings to do that job with but the rings are much harder to work with. Using the zip ties makes it super fast to put together or take apart when needed. Martin's cages have an easy to clean removable plastic pan for the bottom of their cages. And you can even buy parts to build your own custom sized cage. People have nothing but good things to say about these cages. Our only complaint is that they have wire floors which are bad for your rats feet. Most people simply cover the floors with tile or linoleum to solve that problem.
