There natural texture makes them easy for rats to grip and climb, and rats just love perching on them. The best part is that these are made of plastic so they are a dream to clean! In the fish section at Petsmart stores they usually carry a variaty of different large plastic roots, logs, and stuff meant for fish tanks that work fantastically for rats. They may be expensive, but they last forever and are well worth the money! Also check the reptile section. They get new stuff all the time!
