Killer Rat - A Variation on the "Mexican Pet" Legend

In the quiet town of Vincentia, Australia, a distressed local woman whom wishes to remain anonymous, decided to take a stroll on a nearby beach. She stumbled onto a small creature that looked like a small dog crossed with a feral cat. The creature seemed friendly at first so she picked it up and took it home. Once in her cosy warm home she bathed and feed it. That's when it took advantage of her good nature and bit a huge chunk out of her hand.

The creature seemed to get along with her pet Chihuahua but it was only a ploy to get her to leave the creature and the dog alone. That is when it struck, eating the dog like it was an hors d'oeuvre being served at a party. I'm surprised that it stopped when all the flesh was gone.

To the lady's surprise when she awoke the next day when she went to check on the small creature and her dog. Her dog was nowhere to be found. It was only then she saw the pile of small bones on the ground surrounded by dried blood. She let out a terrifying scream which could be heard a mile away.

When she finally got a hold of herself she caught the creature and put it in a cage. She got in her car and drove so fast to get rid of the thing that she was stopped by a police officer. She explained what had happened to her dog and showed it to the officer. She received a speeding ticket and a police escort to the veterinary surgery. Sirens and all. The officer than pulled out his gun and pointed it at the creature that was now going wild. The lady than ran into the office of were the vet was waiting for her to arrive.

The small creature was then shot with a tranquilizing gun because it wouldn't sit still. It was discovered the creature was actually a LARGE CHINESE RAT. This serves a warning to other beach walkers not to pick up small strange creatures if you have a Chihuahua or a small dog in your backyard.
